Deliciously soft and colorful stacked sugar cookies adorned with festive nonpareils, perfect for any holiday or gathering.

Ingredients

  • 1-pound log of Pillsbury sugar cookie dough
  • Various nonpareils in holiday colors for decorating
  • 1 nine oz box of Pillsbury Shape cookie dough

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Unwrap the log of sugar cookie dough and slice it into 16 half-inch thick pieces.
  3. Roll the slices into balls and flatten them into disks about half an inch thick.
  4. Spread the nonpareils on plates and roll each disk in the sprinkles until coated.
  5. Transfer the coated disks to parchment-lined baking sheets.
  6. Bake until they begin to spread, about 2 minutes.
  7. Open the Pillsbury Shape cookie dough package and place one shape on top of each sugar cookie.
  8. Continue baking until the edges turn golden brown, about 10 to 12 minutes more.

Notes

These cookies can be made 2 days in advance and stored in an airtight container. For a fun twist, pair with ice cream.
